Are Pregnant or Breast-feeding
The effects of Zantac in pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If
you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately.
Zantac appears in breast milk and could affect a nursing infant. If this medication is essential to your health, your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding until your treatment with this medication is finished.
Possible Zantac Side Effects
Zantac side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in
intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible.
Common Zantac side effects may include: Nausea, diarrhea, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, or trouble sleeping.
Less common Zantac side effects may include: trouble breathing, muscle pain, joint pain, blurred vision, itching, rash, fever.
Rare Zantac side effects may include: irregular heartbeat (e.g., unusually fast or slow heartbeat), chest pain, mental/mood changes, stomach pain, yellowing of the eyes or skin, unusual bleeding or bruising.
Symptoms of a Zantac allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
